we all like all the features in cab writter, let say the drill holes result of end panel that cabwriter generated not as precise as our expect, or just not the same, so i propose a temporary solution as future CabWritter User
CAN I USE MY OWN END PANEL AS COMPONENT IN CABINET WRTTER FOR BASE CABINET AND WALL CABINET? BUT THAT PANEL ALREADY HAS DRILL HOLES? its ok if this component can’t not dynamic
Here my Drill Holes group in my end panel
a = Minifix dowel holes(minifix Ø 5mm, dowel Ø 8mm)
aa = Dowel Minifix holes ( dowel Ø 8mm, minifix Ø 5mm)
b = Shelf & screw inbox drawer holes ( Ø 5,4 mm) , offset distance hole 32 mm. ( b ,c, d in one line)
c = construction holes for wall clamp hardware ( Ø 5 mm). ( b , c, d in one line) d = construction holes for hinge door ( Ø 5 mm). ( b , c, d in one line)
group hole at down side as first hole for “b & c” , but
group hole at up side begin from top side of panel to make the hole. e = Dowel hole (dowel Ø 8mm)

Much of what you want to do can already be done automatically within CabWriter by careful setup of the drilling settings. There is a short tutorial under the Education tab that walks you through how to access the settings. You can play with the drilling settings until you get what you want. If there are only a couple of things you need to add that we don’t provide, we would like to hear about it so we can consider if we need to add it at some point. However, since the cabinet ends that CabWriter draws are just standard SketchUp components, you can just edit them the way you want, then you can check the “CabWriter Protected” box so that CabWriter doesn’t erase the new stuff if you edit the cabinet. Once you play with the software and are able to create a cabinet that is the way you like, we would love to get that model from you so we can see what you’ve done and what we would need to add, if anything, to the CabWriter software.
Please let us know how you make out after giving it a try.
