I added a drawer to each of 3 boxes (as divided uppers) in a “pencil desk” that I am drawing. When attempting to shift/resize the boxes via the edit story stick tool, the result is poor. See image.

    Hi Adam,

I am not sure what you mean by the result is poor. If you are resizing the divided upper using the edit story stick tool, you will not change the size of the drawer boxes, drawer fronts or door fronts, since they were added to the divided upper with the insert a drawer (or door tool). Dont add doors and drawers to divided boxes until you are sure of the final size. If you email me your model I can setup a join.me on-line session to show you how to repair it. ZIP you model before sending it to me.

“Dont add doors and drawers to divided boxes until you are sure of the final size.” That answers the question. I was hoping that the added door or drawer in the divided upper or lower would change dynamically with the editing of the cabinet’s story stick. Could this be a future feature addition?

    Hi Adam,

Yes, in CabWriter 3 we are going to draw the doors and drawers at the same time the cabinet is drawn, just like any other cabinet. That way they will be redrawn with the cabinet, and you won’t run into this problem. Along with this change we will probably get rid of the insert a door and insert a drawer tools altogether.
